Funding Options
Individual Service Funds - Your service provider (such as Carecraft Support) will contract with your local council for your support package. Your service provider is then responsible for using your budget appropriately, ensuring that the budget is only used to cater to your assessed needs.
Direct Payments - This allows you to receive your care budget directly into your bank account. This gives you the benefit of buying your own care services through a care provider such as Carecraft Support. If you would prefer, your local authority can pay your direct payment into a family member's or another nominated person's account if you would prefer someone else to manage your budget for you.
Managed Council Budgets - This option would allow you to ask your local council to commission your care on your behalf. Some councils have contracts with specific service providers, although, a large number of local authorities now allow you to choose from a wide range of providers and some councils even allow you to choose a specific provider. The council are then responsible for managing the relationship with the chosen provider.
